1. Information We Collect

LabStipend collects minimal personal data necessary to provide fellowship deadline alerts and maintain platform functionality. This includes:

• Email Address: Collected exclusively when you voluntarily subscribe to deadline notifications (T-15 and T-3 days).
• Filter Preferences: Optional search criteria (degree level, country of interest, CGPA) associated with your notification preferences.
• Rate-limit information: Your IP address is used temporarily to limit repeated requests and protect public forms. It is stored with the rate-limit record.
• Analytics: Google Analytics loads only after you accept analytics consent. The consent choice is stored in your browser's local storage.

2. Email Delivery via Resend

Transactional email notifications, double opt-in verification links, and deadline reminders are securely processed and dispatched via Resend (resend.com), our authorized email delivery infrastructure partner. Resend processes email addresses strictly for message transmission on our behalf.

3. Cookie Usage

We use minimal, privacy-respecting cookies:

• Theme Preference: Stored locally or via cookies (powered by next-themes) to remember your light/dark mode choice.
• Authentication Cookies: Secure, http-only session cookies issued exclusively to authorized administrators accessing the admin dashboard.

We do not use advertising pixels. Google Analytics is a third-party analytics service and loads only after you accept the consent dialog.

4. Data Retention

Your email address and subscription preferences are retained securely for as long as your subscription remains active. If you unsubscribe or request data removal, your record is permanently deleted from our active database in accordance with data minimization principles.

5. Requests about your data

You can unsubscribe from alerts using the link in an alert email or request access, correction, or deletion by contacting us. We will review requests and respond using the contact details available to us.
